was formed in August 1989. The main activity of the company was to manufacture PVCu windows and doors for the trade. It operated from a 2000 square foot factory in Cambuslang Investment Park, employing six of the workforce.Within the first 12 months of trading, it had developed to such an extent it required larger premises.
The company moved to larger premises on the same industrial site. This was the start of a carefully planned expansion programme, which included the acquisition of an existing double glazing company which manufactured sealed units. This gave Gold Seal much more control over its range of products, enabling it to offer faster turn around times on finished products. In addition to this the company under took a long term commitment to upgrade its plant, a programme that is constantly reviewed, and has resulted in the company owning some of the best equipment available for the manufacture of PVCu windows.
The company now employs a workforce of 105 and is continuing to expand.In April 2000 the company purchased a 100,000 square foot development, within 2 miles of its present premises. With experience gained from the building side of the business it commence a complete renovation of the site and opened its 12000 square foot factory with a 4000 square foot office and showroom in 2001. The site will allow further expansion over the next few years.
